The late February trip to the Petroglyphs Nevada was a great way to get outdoors and enjoy the unique ancient history of the area. We timed it especially so residents could also attend the Taste of Bullhead that evening.
The Grapevine Canyon Petroglyphs are located in Grapevine Canyon on Spirit Mountain near Laughlin, Nevada, and are listed on the United States National Register of Historic Places. The area is also known as Christmas Tree Pass
and is located on Christmas Tree Pass Road; we traveled a dirt road for a few miles and then a short walk to the drawings.
Some continued up into the rocks to see more petroglyphs while others walked down Christmas Tree Pass to enjoy the beautiful back country. Our hikers/walkers Good Rules for The Road:
· Bring Water
· Bring your snacks or lunch
· Bring sun screen
· Bring a jacket if weather is cool
